Deepa Sharma DVM, MVSc

Dr. Deepa Sharma joined Lakeside Pet Hospital in December 2025 and brings over 20 years of veterinary experience caring for dogs and cats. She has a diverse background in small animal practice, including shelter medicine and veterinary research, and has practiced across a wide variety of clinical settings in the United States and Canada. This broad experience allows her to provide thoughtful, well-rounded, and compassionate care. Dr. Sharma is known for her gentle manner, strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and dedication to building lasting relationships with pets and their families.

Dr. Sharma earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2005, holds a Master’s degree in Veterinary Pathology (Toxicology), and completed her ECFVG certification in the United States. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and dentistry.

Outside of work, Dr. Sharma enjoys walking, traveling, photography, reading, spending time in nature, and being with her family. She is a proud mother of two and values forming long-term, trusting relationships with both pets and their people.
